Alison Hessenberg studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design leaving in (1974) with a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art.
She gained an Art Teacher's Cerfificate at Brighton Polythechnic (1975) and an MA from University of Chichester (2007).
She has shown her work in many exhibitions in London and the South of England including the Stowells Trophy Award, Mall Galleries, London 1973 when her work was favourably reviewed by Art's Review Magazine, Alcan Art Banbury awarded 2nd prize and Chichester Open Art awarded student prize.
She is currently preparing for the National Portrait Award 2012.
She is a self employed artist, working part time at a Gallery. She has written a novel on an art based theme and has written many short stories, plays and poetry.
